The Egg Cups are easy to make and are so cute!<br />
<br />
Here is what you need:<br />
Bread- any kind you want<br />
Something to cut it with (I used a julienne cutter)<br />
Eggs (one for each cup you make)<br />
Rolling pin<br />
Muffin tin<br />
<br />
First your going to want to flatten your slice of bread<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIEETKiMOkGeRkK5NTSabXElVti1FFqrWnd4JMyOxt1_Hn97HLWw-ANCB6Mb3NlSRJi9ZyuSRlIRvlARoTIjK47UW5vyXlcv2Uun2Li8_3DO9CjZ8K8upioUDpicGnKm5SGhbQFgSsBRk/s1600/IMG_1811%5B1%5D" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIEETKiMOkGeRkK5NTSabXElVti1FFqrWnd4JMyOxt1_Hn97HLWw-ANCB6Mb3NlSRJi9ZyuSRlIRvlARoTIjK47UW5vyXlcv2Uun2Li8_3DO9CjZ8K8upioUDpicGnKm5SGhbQFgSsBRk/s320/IMG_1811%5B1%5D" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Once your bread is flattened you want to cut all of the crust off.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Gently fold your bread slices into your muffin tin<br />

<br />
You can either cook your eggs in your muffin cups or you can scramble them stovetop and add the eggs to the cups afterwards (whichever you prefer) our kids prefer scrambled.<br />
<br />
Cook at 350 for 10-15 mins (longer if you are cooking your eggs in the cups)<br />

Meal prepping is a fantastic way to save time, money,, and eat healthy throughout the week. I didn't realize how much it helped our family until I stopped meal prepping a few months ago. Afte everything sort of broke down and I realized how much time meal prepping was giving back to my life so I thought I would share some of the things our family does. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to get started with meal prepping:</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwWPOKKIvrzYMycvETLju_zSyePe0D6XF49XDMa197rgvekcQLGvs7bEdNk8gLoD0UzhngHl8MGwLhs3RbLns8jDcIZlwf4ED73q5yb-H_Ghw8Xyewt0TF_eYroD-_oB8VNM3m6qBBEnr5KZIFkkAX8cPpocbrWkYxyIpLAvY71wKIRqQkwgXQw_1R/s3264/MVIMG_20191029_081323.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2448" data-original-width="3264" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwWPOKKIvrzYMycvETLju_zSyePe0D6XF49XDMa197rgvekcQLGvs7bEdNk8gLoD0UzhngHl8MGwLhs3RbLns8jDcIZlwf4ED73q5yb-H_Ghw8Xyewt0TF_eYroD-_oB8VNM3m6qBBEnr5KZIFkkAX8cPpocbrWkYxyIpLAvY71wKIRqQkwgXQw_1R/s320/MVIMG_20191029_081323.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><p></p><p style="text-align: left;">Plan your meals: Decide on the meals you want to make for the week, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can include a variety of foods Make to keep your meals interesting or you can be a little crazy like or family and have themed weeks. Yes, we had a "asian week" and a "Mexican food week". My kids really get into it. </p><p style="text-align: left;">Make a grocery list: Write down all the ingredients you need for your meals, including any snacks you want to have on hand.</p><p style="text-align: left;">Go grocery shopping: I find when I make the list above it helps me avoid impulse buys.</p><p style="text-align: left;">Prepare your ingredients: Wash and chop your fruits and vegetables, cook your proteins, and get everything ready to be portioned out into containers.</p><p style="text-align: left;">Portion out your meals: Use airtight containers to portion out your meals into individual portions. <br /></div>
Five weeks ago X-man gave me a big surprise and told me (while driving home from a friends birthday) that he no longer wanted to go to Universal Studios for his birthday! He instead wanted a birthday 'like the ones mommy does'. I asked him what type of party he thought I could throw him in 5 weeks and he said. "I really want a Harry Potter party". So the last 5 weeks has been filled with work, scouts, and Harry Potter.<br />
<br />
The Invitation:<br />
I looked around the web and after talking to X was informed he wanted the invite to be an acceptance letter like Harry receives in the book. So with some help with my very talented husband we came up with some really cute letters along with a 'Ticket'. I was even able to get ahold of a wax stamp kit with the Hogwarts crest from Amazon.com. <br />

I didn't get a good picture of it but our den, which has a fireplace, had letters coming from the fire place and owls attempting to deliver letters to Harry like in the first movie. </div>

The boys were sorted and then they received their robe, wand, broom, and
a shirt that had a tie ironed on. We also had HP glasses and scars in
case someone really wanted to dress the part. I used my grandmothers old camel-back trunk to put the loot in. </div>

The robes were made from 5xl Hanes t-shirts that I found on sale. I modified them using a tutorial from <a href="http://www.piecesbypolly.com/2013/11/super-fast-and-easy-diy-harry-potter.html">this blog</a>. We found house crests and used Avery black iron-on transfers to apply them. </div>
<br />
Then after everyone was settled in the kids had a big surprise. Harry and Hermione showed up! They went thru a sword fight some spell making with the boys then played Quittage with the boys for a couple of hours. I found them thru <a href="http://actioneventsla.com/">Action Events</a> and they were truly amazing. The kids and adults loved them and they were absolutely fantastic.<br />

We then had dinner in the great hall! We decked out our ceilings with some starry night room roll that I found on Amazon.com. This was a bit tricky for us since the center of our dining room has an absolutely huge skylight and is 12 feet high at the top beam! </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The candles were created out of paper towel rolls, hot glue, paint and remote controlled tea lights. We hung them from fishing line which you can see in the second photo. I also made the banners from felt. I found crests of each house (on the web) and printed them on black Avery iron-on paper. </div>

My son has been obsessed with Back to the Future ever since his father let him watch it a year ago. Right after his brother's birthday he came up to me and said "Mama can I have a Back to the Future Birthday?". The rest is history.</div>
<div style="color: #3d596d; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 24px;">
The Decorations:</div>
<div style="color: #3d596d; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 24px;">
I had a really hard time coming up with a general 'theme' for the party because the characters in the movie go to so many different time periods. When I asked my son which movie was his favorite or which time he liked the most he said "all of them"! Since we had the party at our house I decided to do one time period per room. So our living room was 1959 "Enchantment under the Sea Dance" the Kitchen and Den was the 2015 "Café 80's" and outside we had The old West.</div>
<div style="color: #3d596d; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 24px;">
I'm not big on balloons but I always like to set the stage when guests enter. This year we art inspired by the movies and hung the posters on one wall where in the breezeway and the ground had a road 'runway' and radioactive stickers on the doors. We also had the main title Back to the future playing with a smoke machine going for ambiance.</div>

<div style="color: #3d596d; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 24px;">
In the living room I hung a blue and silver foil curtain and recreated the 'Enchantment Under the Sea Dance' Banner that they hung on stage at the High School Prom. We also had hanging fish and used small clear balloons that hung from the ceiling to create the feel of bubbles. We also had Enchantment under the sea posters hanging around the area. We served snacks in this area and they were all sea themed.</div>

We made a Café 80's sign and we created the Hover Board which hung from the chandelier in the kitchen. Creating the Hover Board took many nights but the end result was pretty cool. Since Lunch was served in the Kitchen the plates and cups were labeled with the Café 80's logo. We used waterproof labels on a laser printer to create the effect. We also had futuristic glasses for our guests to get their 2015 on.</div>

Outside we decorated everything in a western theme and had 'wanted' signs of Biff Tannen hanging from various places. The bounce house was the main source of entertainment. For the centerpieces we had lanterns sitting on a small stack of hay. We also had a refreshment station outside and I had enough hay to use at the 'watering hole'.</div>

The Cake:</div>
<div style="color: #3d596d; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 24px;">
My son had requested a clock tower cake but there was no way I was going to be able to replicate that. So he had to settle for this DeLorean cake instead. I used marshmallow fondant to cover it and make all of the decorations.</div>
<div style="color: #3d596d; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 24px;">

<div style="color: #3d596d; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 24px;">
The Entertainment:</div>
<div style="color: #3d596d; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 24px;">
Along with the bounce house I also made a DeLorean Piñata. It was the one thing my son was very adamant about wanting (besides the bouncer) so I scoured the internet to figure out how to make my own piñata. I filled it with a bunch of toys and candy from the 80's (jelly bracelets, mini Rubik's cubes, Pop rocks, etc.).</div>
<div style="color: #3d596d; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 24px;">
<a data-mce-href="https://urbanpepper.files.wordpress.com/2015/03/delorianpinata.jpg" href="https://urbanpepper.files.wordpress.com/2015/03/delorianpinata.jpg" style="color: #00aadc;"><img alt="DelorianPinata" class=" wp-image-407 aligncenter" data-mce-src="https://urbanpepper.files.wordpress.com/2015/03/delorianpinata.jpg?w=300" height="176" src="https://urbanpepper.files.wordpress.com/2015/03/delorianpinata.jpg?w=300" style="border: 0px; display: block; height: auto; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; max-width: 100%;" width="264" /></a></div>
<div style="color: #3d596d; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 24px;">
<a data-mce-href="https://urbanpepper.files.wordpress.com/2015/03/img_20150217_214740.jpg" href="https://urbanpepper.files.wordpress.com/2015/03/img_20150217_214740.jpg" style="color: #00aadc;"><img alt="IMG_20150217_214740" class=" wp-image-406 aligncenter" data-mce-src="https://urbanpepper.files.wordpress.com/2015/03/img_20150217_214740.jpg?w=300" height="225" src="https://urbanpepper.files.wordpress.com/2015/03/img_20150217_214740.jpg?w=300" style="border: 0px; display: block; height: auto; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; max-width: 100%;" width="225" /></a></div>
<div data-mce-style="text-align: center;" style="color: #3d596d; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 24px; text-align: center;">
We also had our photo booth set up outside. Every time we use it we get a ton of complements. We purchased the software that we run on our laptop <a data-mce-href="http://sparkbooth.com/" href="http://sparkbooth.com/" style="color: #00aadc;">here.</a></div>
<div data-mce-style="text-align: center;" style="color: #3d596d; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 24px; text-align: center;">

The Favors:</div>
<div style="color: #3d596d; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 24px;">
I came across old 90's Back to the Future McDonald's Happy Meal toys on E-Bay and it was the perfect favor. I used simple yellow paper bags and cut the top down and then stapled the "The End" card over it. The other side said "Thanks for coming to my Birthday".</div>
<div style="color: #3d596d; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 24px;">

Shortly after Logan's 1st birthday party Xavier immediately came up to me and asked for a Knight and Princess party. Since I had six months to plan the party I was able to come up with so many ideas. So first the invitations. Xavier decided on the below invite and the little pennant banner at the top really inspired me and got the ball rolling.<br />

We created a 'stone' (from cardboard) for each royal knight to pick their sword from. They were also able to choose their own armor.<br />

We set up a workstation on our dining room table for the children to create their own shield. Stickers and jewels were available to decorate with. We fashioned the shields from cardboard boxes and installed a handle on the back. Each was painted silver.<br />

The beverage table was covered with a simple black table cloth. We covered water bottles with a knight and princess theme label that my dear husband created. We also had royal goblets available to drink out of. We had Lemonade, Ice tea, Capri Sun's, and water to drink. We also had M&M's and Ring Pops to subdue the sweet tooth until cake time.<br />

The eating area was set for a king, or in this case a few knights and princesses. We were given the covered canopy from a cousin who was getting rid of it. We used leftover fabric to create the curtain effect. I'm planning to use this fabric again for a ship mast for Logan's Pirate party (coming in February)! The pennant banners were made from fabric and double bias tape. We rented the table and chairs at a local party rental and I used leftover red fabric to create the table runners. The carpet is an old one we regularly put outside to create an outdoor living space in the summer.<br />

The chandelier a friend found on free-cycle. It was a little dusty and needed different light bulbs. It wasn't anything a trip to Home Depot couldn't fix. I found a string of beads from Joann's for a dollar and draped them over. The centerpieces were made from take out boxes and plastic plates from targets dollar bin. The dragons were purchased from Joann's for Xavier a couple of months back.<br />

For X-man's Superhero birthday we decided to make kids got caps, cuffs, & masks. When I decided to make the caps I went out and priced fabric and realized it was going to be three to four dollars per kid! Since we ended up with 23 RSVP's there was no way I was going to be able to make that happen. While walking through the dollar tree I found a new section full of - wait for it - dollar t-shirts!!!! I looked them over and realized I could totally make capes out of them! So I had capes for every kid for a dollar per kid!</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The advantage of the t-shirts is that the seams are already sewn so once you cut the cape out it virtually done. Remember to wash your shirts to take the sizing out of them and pre-shrink them. Otherwise you may end up with a crooked cape!</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<li>T-shirt (our kids are 5 so an adult size large worked best for us)</li>
<li>Scissors </li>
<li>felt (if you are going to make a logo)</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLqGMKw7V7kGXtcQ9Z9xI6TGfxAZ1mM1QEsRffICfcSyoy7slwG_zbkcXeZc5G0AtN9wt0ABfkQNTo58ATqzFojRWx8zmn0USghyphenhyphen9gneUelmBKh3znVkUTO3byi5FQUv9xrTdx6sNCNXo/s640/blogger-image--1373228177.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLqGMKw7V7kGXtcQ9Z9xI6TGfxAZ1mM1QEsRffICfcSyoy7slwG_zbkcXeZc5G0AtN9wt0ABfkQNTo58ATqzFojRWx8zmn0USghyphenhyphen9gneUelmBKh3znVkUTO3byi5FQUv9xrTdx6sNCNXo/s320/blogger-image--1373228177.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
First lay out your shirt and look it over. If it has seams you will want to use them as your guide. I got lucky and the shirts from the dollar tree did not have seams up the sides which meant wider bottoms for the capes.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6mttWK88xfduWRBNOt40_Kwyrxw47YQHT3XVGfw4PcsgiMXHczH6TWZwfd5VH-CTwBLg9i_1AuCpYM4N7azhwQBRCAEOoZvr6l-xWQwI0ptqsoRQhLusysbtI7pmJG8a3TthtYbyIob4/s640/blogger-image--401439554.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6mttWK88xfduWRBNOt40_Kwyrxw47YQHT3XVGfw4PcsgiMXHczH6TWZwfd5VH-CTwBLg9i_1AuCpYM4N7azhwQBRCAEOoZvr6l-xWQwI0ptqsoRQhLusysbtI7pmJG8a3TthtYbyIob4/s320/blogger-image--401439554.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Next cut up the side of the cape all the way up to the armpit and continue to cut along the backside of the sleeve until you reach the top seam. Do this to both sides of the shirt. The front of my shirt is to the right and you can see I cut diagonally up to the armpit to allow more fabric for the cape</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqoSyneNQc1pBkPQrMOGH79GLnynFQBM9HLPJwKFR-D_EgZDuX-b6hvRoaecvMpbh3U9CHkVG2AcLnP_XUpJRLldoD-vzEb5yFkHjsEstjt6fgTzcE1S_QY_1Sjpq8CM4FFYVapx_zdgI/s640/blogger-image-1406542863.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqoSyneNQc1pBkPQrMOGH79GLnynFQBM9HLPJwKFR-D_EgZDuX-b6hvRoaecvMpbh3U9CHkVG2AcLnP_XUpJRLldoD-vzEb5yFkHjsEstjt6fgTzcE1S_QY_1Sjpq8CM4FFYVapx_zdgI/s320/blogger-image-1406542863.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Once you have cut the sides of your shit lay it flat. Cut along the top seam and around the underside of the collar until it looks like the picture above. Then you will want to even out the cut from the collar to the side so it looks like more of the below image. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtbmj6YwNR_frEItN3eZQsoo3LNsg-WCipUvfZV4PyFJZaERuFgJDyQ-_hIOSbT7FR2mWDKZW4ty7Ez6Ie1emNeJwTZ3DXHm459SeXRUD2k_djpGALPaWrHVaTP1yKXp-kLaAnx-ZYNc4/s640/blogger-image--591616406.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtbmj6YwNR_frEItN3eZQsoo3LNsg-WCipUvfZV4PyFJZaERuFgJDyQ-_hIOSbT7FR2mWDKZW4ty7Ez6Ie1emNeJwTZ3DXHm459SeXRUD2k_djpGALPaWrHVaTP1yKXp-kLaAnx-ZYNc4/s320/blogger-image--591616406.jpg" width="240" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHw0C8RNW-CQgR5aipj3SVQZ-yyQTGd8mcMWCPCh4dcWnqNwnyM73z2bVhIdfx3FWyn8R0U92cqEClQzHKWYB04_b8K-pOOlAyyRpLtf7ltY2MYeZAuKSGHg1Sd5SJz036nP_5pyJBnFs/s640/blogger-image-919274495.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHw0C8RNW-CQgR5aipj3SVQZ-yyQTGd8mcMWCPCh4dcWnqNwnyM73z2bVhIdfx3FWyn8R0U92cqEClQzHKWYB04_b8K-pOOlAyyRpLtf7ltY2MYeZAuKSGHg1Sd5SJz036nP_5pyJBnFs/s320/blogger-image-919274495.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Finally you will want to cut the collar of your shit at the middle point. You can add Velcro which is safer for kids to play in. If they get stuck on something it will automatically pull off. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2METS68vUWn3sr_xx6B48ooeOSbWiGh3smD6vH0XBv0i6AgXUjfqGg8kmWpDcUT6zAhpQ2s_DlbUekA_e2matRpzVo3PB7FjmPRZFq_3FZym7MqTUgf9aUSUfdp2tH4saTPUVJ3OOAXA/s1600/IMG_3827.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2METS68vUWn3sr_xx6B48ooeOSbWiGh3smD6vH0XBv0i6AgXUjfqGg8kmWpDcUT6zAhpQ2s_DlbUekA_e2matRpzVo3PB7FjmPRZFq_3FZym7MqTUgf9aUSUfdp2tH4saTPUVJ3OOAXA/s320/IMG_3827.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now you can add any sort of image on the back you wish. I cut stars, lighting bolts and bats out of felt and used fabric glue to hold them on. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

I don't usually mind except when it comes to things like scaling the sink to wash his hands. Our issue - our sinks are so tall that even with a really high children's step stool he still can't reach the faucet! So i created a 'faucet extender' to make the water reach his little hands!<br />
<br />
What you need: <br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>Scissors </li>
<li>large squarish bottle ( I used a Costco sized Pantiene bottle but any squarish plastic bottle will do)</li>
<li>a faucet to attach it to!</li>
</ul>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjYYkca9-BG7tY5MqgiOaaKd4tv6wlSn5hf5v65cBF2LlnR0VCbzebucuB53WWEUMoGEvfwvqhfkdJBw9RVHzC1DMuGrF0BNAk3Q40QCxO9JCpzyWnQbSHCbtstlZhc-NIXdH0YXLMe90/s1600/IMG_3778.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjYYkca9-BG7tY5MqgiOaaKd4tv6wlSn5hf5v65cBF2LlnR0VCbzebucuB53WWEUMoGEvfwvqhfkdJBw9RVHzC1DMuGrF0BNAk3Q40QCxO9JCpzyWnQbSHCbtstlZhc-NIXdH0YXLMe90/s1600/IMG_3778.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
The first thing I did was cut a hole in the top of my bottle.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjA1UsCqTl0O1yDb72dFgQ_S9RNe5GVjxcjINhmGmbtKwo1-Xtx-oKidFYK0Lr5ZNYK9cc9WMy8sdOXeacwz-iZ3RBeyY3GdNVgK7YL9ajPdmrdY00IfmyRqmRkPn4KrBH-SUz66_M7V2A/s1600/IMG_3782.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjA1UsCqTl0O1yDb72dFgQ_S9RNe5GVjxcjINhmGmbtKwo1-Xtx-oKidFYK0Lr5ZNYK9cc9WMy8sdOXeacwz-iZ3RBeyY3GdNVgK7YL9ajPdmrdY00IfmyRqmRkPn4KrBH-SUz66_M7V2A/s200/IMG_3782.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
Then I cut off the top of the bottle. I took a look to see where our faucet would need to go through the bottle. I cut a large U shape out of the bottle and rounded the top corners so not to poke little hands.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjn3XHB_tV21OhhjpSrUcEPcDb_F17yVwWwpsnqZ82Tsg9NPP8TgcPQSjljSRuoQM1v4TZZzI51nueNvElCpWc05HiI3CUsf-JVx5M7KUjoZIwEXAKILZiV8wn08u2492czbsPTqZMTKE/s1600/IMG_3780.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjn3XHB_tV21OhhjpSrUcEPcDb_F17yVwWwpsnqZ82Tsg9NPP8TgcPQSjljSRuoQM1v4TZZzI51nueNvElCpWc05HiI3CUsf-JVx5M7KUjoZIwEXAKILZiV8wn08u2492czbsPTqZMTKE/s200/IMG_3780.JPG" width="150" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
That's it! As you can see our faucet is a very odd shape. Yours will probably look a bit different. <br />
<br />
Happy DIYing!<br />

There was a point in time when I spent a small fortune on cleaning wipes. You have to admit they make life so much easier but boy are they expensive! Shortly after having our second son and was exposed to the fabulousness of reusable diapers. Then one day it hit me. Why couldn't I do the same for my cleaning wipes? It really isn't hard to make these. The hardest part is cutting up the towel to make the little wipes. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUbs0ruBfveNKxzgN3lQPyJdf21tfBnnShZOAYxdnX75gR1f5PERqFS_vY5eAlG5TMTw9mkhV7KSFwpwM7RW8GgtSjPf3RIU1KdubjVmhLz0l5YaHDYs3o4i-MjUljF5DKhY-uWwXWekg/s1600/IMG_3658%5B1%5D" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUbs0ruBfveNKxzgN3lQPyJdf21tfBnnShZOAYxdnX75gR1f5PERqFS_vY5eAlG5TMTw9mkhV7KSFwpwM7RW8GgtSjPf3RIU1KdubjVmhLz0l5YaHDYs3o4i-MjUljF5DKhY-uWwXWekg/s200/IMG_3658%5B1%5D" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
The fist thing I did is measure the size of my container I would be leaving my wipes in and I cut my wipes to fold once and fit in my container. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here are the ingredients for the wipes. Pine Sol, water, a measuring cup a plastic sealable container (purchased at Target) and the towels for the wipes. This recipe is best for killing germs and such. There are other recipes that use vinegar but I noticed they turn sour fairly quickly. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For this project I happened to have a package of small working towels from the auto parts store but you can use whatever suits your fancy. Even a cut up old t-shirt will work. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioPZsiLfi9WfIAfytMGSTzvtU-WypTCL31BulrlxNshtisczddcN_7jfbL7rG6SUmES30RMLkrMO6fqkh69o2IrcR7kpC-QVVZMr-s5T_mvjBjriZUrbG76RDrYkV0Vau1jDweY9ZSMpk/s1600/IMG_3659%5B1%5D" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioPZsiLfi9WfIAfytMGSTzvtU-WypTCL31BulrlxNshtisczddcN_7jfbL7rG6SUmES30RMLkrMO6fqkh69o2IrcR7kpC-QVVZMr-s5T_mvjBjriZUrbG76RDrYkV0Vau1jDweY9ZSMpk/s320/IMG_3659%5B1%5D" unselectable="on" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;">
DIY Cleaning wipes recipe: </div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;">
2 1/2 Cups of water</div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;">
1/2 Cup of Pine Sol</div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;">
First you will want to fold and put your towels in the container. Then pour the water over the towels. </div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgc-Me1-JJTapU1NO_mUKpZo1a6muJwgYDV9Kifvf3h6BBCs1zqwcGx7ZjsncgZiXBTWZ6jn8tA7bpSzEXaAQe-__Yxomhsee446DiKAZ7C9CWIuh7kl17DgVZmA5POsHcJqDQw7vZ_Eu8/s1600/IMG_3661%5B1%5D" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgc-Me1-JJTapU1NO_mUKpZo1a6muJwgYDV9Kifvf3h6BBCs1zqwcGx7ZjsncgZiXBTWZ6jn8tA7bpSzEXaAQe-__Yxomhsee446DiKAZ7C9CWIuh7kl17DgVZmA5POsHcJqDQw7vZ_Eu8/s200/IMG_3661%5B1%5D" width="150" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Immediately after pour the Pine Sol. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPmf0TfUHIuqp2Q-h-sVY9rj2xVVQVoqwhVHlNIc-RefB-OhwpmW1YROHA-89XvIGq2iWMt7EIkSSf2w8sUX_HCAZrEtUxMjKPFLwwah9Ln4xbU6WydrnjxIhbgWjVvY5rd0j6lu2ASQg/s1600/IMG_3662%5B1%5D" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPmf0TfUHIuqp2Q-h-sVY9rj2xVVQVoqwhVHlNIc-RefB-OhwpmW1YROHA-89XvIGq2iWMt7EIkSSf2w8sUX_HCAZrEtUxMjKPFLwwah9Ln4xbU6WydrnjxIhbgWjVvY5rd0j6lu2ASQg/s200/IMG_3662%5B1%5D" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then seal the container. Let all of the fluid sink to the bottom and then flip it upside down. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAKHwTEV3wDB2uZtIQctcorJvHKaPGJykYlweYJ9IPGw4eNcnLeEMoqW0DCByII2hNezh-uULJEbqXfjU4FNH1VQVEHGHoBSbKe-S3V096BapRka7IUwgvld4eB591MGaLIWWNkz0tM9w/s1600/IMG_3664%5B1%5D" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAKHwTEV3wDB2uZtIQctcorJvHKaPGJykYlweYJ9IPGw4eNcnLeEMoqW0DCByII2hNezh-uULJEbqXfjU4FNH1VQVEHGHoBSbKe-S3V096BapRka7IUwgvld4eB591MGaLIWWNkz0tM9w/s200/IMG_3664%5B1%5D" width="150" /></a></div>
<br />
You will probably want to wait about a half hour to make sure all the liquid has been absorbed by the towels. Then you can clean to your hearts content. Well at least until you need to make them again! Once they have been used I just put them in the laundry with the rest of our towels to wash. <br />
<br />
Happy DIYing!<br />

I love Bisquick but I haven't been very fond of all the ingredients they use to make it. So I looked on the Internet and found that its totally possible to recreate the mix. But please note that this version needs to be put in the freezer as it does not have the preservatives in it that make it shelf stable. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You can use Bisquick mix to make so many things. Waffles, Pancakes, biscuits, and cookies. I could go on and on but I'll spare you. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Recipe: </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
3 Cups - Flower</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1.5 Tsp - Baking Powder</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
.5 Tsp - Salt</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1/4Cup - Butter</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This can totally be made by hand with a pastry cutter but it takes much longer and I'm lazy! So with the food processor method you want to cut up your cold butter into small chunks add your other ingredients and place them in the blender. I usually blend it on the blend setting for approximately 2 minutes. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyR2v6CBWoPBNuqA42fqxACLPfTrLyskqHLjP9CjeUj1nj5myIcyTLHWNzFQlxR7lsjaFC0i-tU-zgoKOlBIo6CxiXI3Ym5bXUdISxVUuPJSGAaHiF79PeIpO8e8n6ZDoKXbOY7txqjPk/s1600/IMG_3716%5B1%5D" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyR2v6CBWoPBNuqA42fqxACLPfTrLyskqHLjP9CjeUj1nj5myIcyTLHWNzFQlxR7lsjaFC0i-tU-zgoKOlBIo6CxiXI3Ym5bXUdISxVUuPJSGAaHiF79PeIpO8e8n6ZDoKXbOY7txqjPk/s320/IMG_3716%5B1%5D" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Once your done blending it should look something like this. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjir1NmITKGiIgxDclailPywvrfw_ws56kX_BS9jvUHsEeWGn34q5eued1YJPcT_OgCMysqV8dn-N-B3SttQhkBdCmB1Q0nwmMvlNZp7OedzuRTbkGTyGmR5Tft_ZuVAaWBwFDqJSqHcQ8/s1600/IMG_3718%5B1%5D" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjir1NmITKGiIgxDclailPywvrfw_ws56kX_BS9jvUHsEeWGn34q5eued1YJPcT_OgCMysqV8dn-N-B3SttQhkBdCmB1Q0nwmMvlNZp7OedzuRTbkGTyGmR5Tft_ZuVAaWBwFDqJSqHcQ8/s320/IMG_3718%5B1%5D" width="240" /></a></div>
The butter should be completely processed in at the end of two minutes. I like to fill a large pitcher full of the mix. That way it has a handle to carry it around with. It and it usually takes 4 batches to fill the pitcher completely full. As you can see I keep the recipes I use the most on the side of my pitcher and of course the original recipe to make the mix. <br />

Breakfast in bed from my favorite Kindergartener ( I'm sure he had some help from dad). What was your favorite birthday experience?<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAj2pWmmJQXa8OEQe3Ilk9ixb0WVZQCE7c-0Cgu9-DKsOgFta17G0KrjaRoBH76dsAVyxrdT2oQzw-YijG6JchLA5d_aUGtsysW8dabGArmHf2-a6D3JIxj4GK5QKmAgG9WKRs-rHKiYU/s640/blogger-image--2022913782.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAj2pWmmJQXa8OEQe3Ilk9ixb0WVZQCE7c-0Cgu9-DKsOgFta17G0KrjaRoBH76dsAVyxrdT2oQzw-YijG6JchLA5d_aUGtsysW8dabGArmHf2-a6D3JIxj4GK5QKmAgG9WKRs-rHKiYU/s640/blogger-image--2022913782.jpg" /></a></div>csdesignerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06549644811264709274noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3245012031779284666.post-46084006125261551682012-09-12T00:27:00.001-07:002012-10-02T00:45:09.980-07:00Modge-Podge Birthday Letters<br />
<div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;"><span style="font-size: medium;">We are full speed ahead planning for Xavier's 5th birthday bash at the end of this month. Here is project one of at least 20: Modge-Podge Letters. </span></div><div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt;"><br />
</span></div><div style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt;">For the letters I made my own modge-podge because, lets face it, times are toughand I'm cheap. It worked like a charm and easy as pie to make. Half cheap-o Dollar Tree white glue the other half water.<o:p></o:p></span></div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;"><br />
</div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt;">What you willneed:<o:p></o:p></span></div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt;">Modge-podge<o:p></o:p></span></div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt;">small foam brush<o:p></o:p></span></div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt;">cardboard letters (I got mine from Joann's)<o:p></o:p></span></div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt;">material you willglue onto your letter<o:p></o:p></span></div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;"><br />
</div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt;">So the first stepis to cut out what you are going to modge-podge to your letter. I cut outimages from comic books I purchased from the second hand store.<o:p></o:p></span></div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;"><br />
</div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt;">Next place a niceamount of glue onto the surface of your letter and position your paper onto theletter. <o:p></o:p></span></div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt;"><br />
</span></div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt;">Place the cut paper onto your letter with glue on it. Then apply a thin layer of modge-podge on top of your paper. You want to make sure your paper is saturated with the solution enough that it is 'wet' but not so much that there are beads of clue laying on top. </span></div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt;"><br />
</span></div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Now wait for it to dry. </span></div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br />
</span></div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I applied the paper only to the front of the letter and painted the sides and back. But you may want to modge-podge the sides. Don't hesitate to get creative!</span></div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br />
</span></div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Till next time!</span></div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Jen</span></div><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYEM9Ri3Q5OoRD-HwZhd7j5-FrrsvVSCdHr-4_dMU7zyiaRLO6sU9JOEd4vgAsUYgNcgPlNAWuf51gkpeocbSPu6G5Ge1bzybvkkD6hmam8PitmBaVGs7Ke_eBbThhKf6p7rToexQkhnw/s640/blogger-image--2051942072.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYEM9Ri3Q5OoRD-HwZhd7j5-FrrsvVSCdHr-4_dMU7zyiaRLO6sU9JOEd4vgAsUYgNcgPlNAWuf51gkpeocbSPu6G5Ge1bzybvkkD6hmam8PitmBaVGs7Ke_eBbThhKf6p7rToexQkhnw/s640/blogger-image--2051942072.jpg" /></a></div>csdesignerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06549644811264709274noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3245012031779284666.post-71401702005094468662012-09-12T00:18:00.001-07:002012-09-12T00:18:45.322-07:00The Super Party Begins!Our oldest son's birthday is in September and usually by this time the majority of the work is done. This year as many of you probably already know I started a new job. So every waking second not spent on my family I either spend out in the garden or working.<br />
<br />
Xavier requested a superhero birthday party this year. We finally finished the invites and sent them out this week. My fabulous husband did an awesome job putting them together. And we saved so much money doing them ourselves. Here is the front the back is done box style in the comic theme.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-b1diqwFX8740OTItrTQ4Z7qoV7nq0HelbH-M3XYouRHVT1v9GKqXaYNZI3AGzI3pW5g6_rkV1PtryxXwB9BYa12eyyYeISD6-GwF5w11XLt9OQfJr7cVIW9beIITUdqJvf-VlDO9pUo/s1600/IMG_3250.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-b1diqwFX8740OTItrTQ4Z7qoV7nq0HelbH-M3XYouRHVT1v9GKqXaYNZI3AGzI3pW5g6_rkV1PtryxXwB9BYa12eyyYeISD6-GwF5w11XLt9OQfJr7cVIW9beIITUdqJvf-VlDO9pUo/s320/IMG_3250.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
How do you like to put together your children's birthday invitations. Do you prefer buying them or making them yourself?<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
More party planning to come stay tuned!</div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
This has taken me FOREVER to actually post. Logan's birthday was actually back in February but after all this superhero party planning I had to get them up. So here is the infamous Pirate party. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We made an x to mark the spot instead if the traditional balloons and if course a pirate flag flew over the house. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

As promised here is the Oatmeal Packet tutorial. I used a sewing machine for this. I know it sounds strange but .... IT WORKS!<br />
<br />
<u>You will need:</u> <br />
<em>Sewing Machine</em><br />
<em>Lunch size paper bags (I used the larger sized bags)</em><br />
<em>Thread</em><br />
<br />
1. Take your flat paper bag and fold the bottom in half. Stitch up the end right above the bottom. I sat and did this two all 8 bags I used for making oatmeal with. <br />
<br />
2. Sew another seam all the way across 5 inches above the last seam. <br />
<br />
3. cut all the way across directly below the second seam sewn. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoHcvwRc-rItThtoooOs7Ecc9KmWscswmrWyCKnF6Gpex4pt7HdgiYvu5SOeJ0a8KIyd1k-2wZ54GQ8e2OxfaCuYIRrJ2AFYghASLlBuCVE25nRofx34_W5QdLrrpKHXhj77F9CI_WNpI/s1600/IMG_1873%255B1%255D" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoHcvwRc-rItThtoooOs7Ecc9KmWscswmrWyCKnF6Gpex4pt7HdgiYvu5SOeJ0a8KIyd1k-2wZ54GQ8e2OxfaCuYIRrJ2AFYghASLlBuCVE25nRofx34_W5QdLrrpKHXhj77F9CI_WNpI/s200/IMG_1873%255B1%255D" width="200" /></a></div>
4. Now you will want to lay all of your packets out and dispense your ingredients for your oatmeal packets. You can find my recipes <a href="http://csdesigner-csdesigner.blogspot.com/2012/05/diy-instant-oatmeal-packets.html">here</a>. <br />
<br />
5. After you have all the bags filled you can stitch up the other end. Make sure to push all of the oatmeal to the end of the bag that is already sewn. <br />
<br />
6. Now you can decorate the front. Make sure you don't push through the bag! I used some crayons to decorate ours!<br />
<br />

Both our boys love popcorn but the store bought popcorn packets are so expensive. I thought about buying an air popper but then I read somewhere that you can put straight up popcorn kernels in the microwave and they will pop. I thought to myself - Dear Lord instant popcorn is the biggest facade! So I made my own insant popcorn packets. You could proably just put them together at the time you want the popcorn but I work full time so if its going to get eaten in our house it needs to be pre-packaged and done. here is what I did. Its simple, easy and CHEAP! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You will need:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Paper Lunch style bags</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Popcorn kernels (1/4 C per bag)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A Pen - I used a sharpie that was lying around</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A plastic baggie (if you so desire - I resue these since they don't get dirty)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For each paper bag you will want to throw in aproximately 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels. Fold up the bag and insert into the plastic bag (optional). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJQucEHcWkhMjPnpCRbFuc8uoTbOVURzmPSGNBRxeLJtSoSEOcgtmIPRAcT90yOFo8EvtDdc_3uHzSxdyc8Jz5YhQKCnDByeXUjcFpsEDAjq8omwB0DM34xlthLuVwbA2ikpUCX1Mspbk/s1600/IMG_1875%5B1%5D.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJQucEHcWkhMjPnpCRbFuc8uoTbOVURzmPSGNBRxeLJtSoSEOcgtmIPRAcT90yOFo8EvtDdc_3uHzSxdyc8Jz5YhQKCnDByeXUjcFpsEDAjq8omwB0DM34xlthLuVwbA2ikpUCX1Mspbk/s320/IMG_1875%5B1%5D.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
When you are ready to enjoy your popcorn just place it into the microwave for aprox 2 mins or you can put it on your popcorn setting. Just like the store bought popcorn says stop once the kernals stop popping or are popping longer than 3 seconds. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidVngP2ePz4AQG-8Nu1ZHt2cH2CFLnORUau3uI5_hJnax4z9icWlQZdi51bI5WjDpO8wlLrzdhzS5vz5EodwhJbqnxpAodjXPxvVR318LQ9kWWWxqX4nZOlU57I1jpSB1Zz7H3ChiZkBM/s1600/IMG_1877%5B1%5D" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidVngP2ePz4AQG-8Nu1ZHt2cH2CFLnORUau3uI5_hJnax4z9icWlQZdi51bI5WjDpO8wlLrzdhzS5vz5EodwhJbqnxpAodjXPxvVR318LQ9kWWWxqX4nZOlU57I1jpSB1Zz7H3ChiZkBM/s320/IMG_1877%5B1%5D" width="240" /></a></div>
Now you can add salt, pepper, or whatever suits you! On move night we tossed it in a bowl and added melted butter for the boys. I take mine bare! Wasn't that EASY!<br />
<br />
<br />
Enjoy, <br />

<br />
Today is the last day of teacher appreciation week. Because there are 5 teachers between both of our kids (they are both in pre-school) my budget for teacher gifts was stretched pretty thin. But I found this idea from <a href="http://www.skiptomylou.org/2012/04/30/oven-mitt-diy-idea-teacher-appreciation/">Skip to my Lou</a>. I found everything needed at the Dollar Tree minus the candy that I purchased at Target. Skip to my Lou also has printable tags! Here are pictures of the oven mitts for the boys teachers. <br />

I included 1 oven mitt, pencils, pens, marking pens, scissors, glue, Air Heads candy, & Twix candy. I calculated it out and I only spent 7.15 per teacher which is pretty cheap!</div>

So for lunch on Saturday my DH and I decided on spaghetti and wine. We had just purchased some rosemary crisps at Trader Joe's and I had to come up with an excuse to eat them. I remembered I had a bunch of tomatoes left and needed to eat them so I decided to make bruschetta! I looked all over the web and couldn't find one recipe that really did it for me so I made my own. <br />
<br />
What you need:<br />
3 tomatoes <br />
1/4 onion<br />
2 cloves Garlic<br />
Salt<br />
Pepper<br />
Olive oil<br />
Balsamic vinegar<br />
<br />
First chop your to tomatoes and onions. I de-seed the tomatoes as I go. <br />
Next mince the garlic or put it through a press.<br />
Add the tomato, vinegar, and oil to a bowl and let it marinade. <br />
As your tomatoes are marinading olive oil to a small pan and simmer the onions and garlic till transparent. You can skip this and add them directly to the bowl but I personally get indigestion when I eat raw onions. <br />
Add the onions and garlic to the bowl. Mix together and add your salt and pepper to taste.<br />
<br />
If you don't have crisps you can make your own. Preheat your oven to 400. Slice a baguette or Italian bread and on a diagonal at about 1/2" slice. Brush with olive oil and place them on a sheet oil side down. Place in the top rack for 5 to 6 mins. <div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5aOrwAuEuqFGLQ_6lKvHtITtASkAWnv0CcEQh9lrHnLFenEVVgsaAZzYAi9ZXE_JoJU511Xn9BGoesFQoU0ObF63rWJ3cV7gmH27gKDu4E9bwAH2Klk6J66YiaTTUsFhyphenhyphen2WPc7trcRis/s640/blogger-image-1408483961.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5aOrwAuEuqFGLQ_6lKvHtITtASkAWnv0CcEQh9lrHnLFenEVVgsaAZzYAi9ZXE_JoJU511Xn9BGoesFQoU0ObF63rWJ3cV7gmH27gKDu4E9bwAH2Klk6J66YiaTTUsFhyphenhyphen2WPc7trcRis/s640/blogger-image-1408483961.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1L4eDdY0ezxnv5I456UB5rPh8RAr7w9h4qIKZMjgcc9etZZFAQBzkA2MCD-AnQzGh62Hw09155_E2GQPXf6MmdVO2MKYYr2p7gessizptBao2AKHAG_wqR7L7x2U5XxnpECnFj9R9P-Y/s640/blogger-image-1391261824.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1L4eDdY0ezxnv5I456UB5rPh8RAr7w9h4qIKZMjgcc9etZZFAQBzkA2MCD-AnQzGh62Hw09155_E2GQPXf6MmdVO2MKYYr2p7gessizptBao2AKHAG_wqR7L7x2U5XxnpECnFj9R9P-Y/s640/blogger-image-1391261824.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjo7wdaVthoAkymrSnaumogPyHA5p-CEhFus6hyphenhyphen8WXzLQ4YNJlo13szB22KabyOKvgejciadVUrM2nEp9CUbtldX2Z1EjZgJmcXd40J9aQMmSzkwDlsIcmhHXh0BYnk8DCKlHf9YjY_yTA/s640/blogger-image-2079366331.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjo7wdaVthoAkymrSnaumogPyHA5p-CEhFus6hyphenhyphen8WXzLQ4YNJlo13szB22KabyOKvgejciadVUrM2nEp9CUbtldX2Z1EjZgJmcXd40J9aQMmSzkwDlsIcmhHXh0BYnk8DCKlHf9YjY_yTA/s640/blogger-image-2079366331.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJNltYuzX2jJTndT4gA_330cJ7FAPKsvU-gwl1F2NQlNxxlfALT1BG9xNihK0ZKbQMnS7SaF3oNHsz-gAAt8pLpdaI6oHRy0sKlxGEsZS_TgsT-Pjq4CKuA_ktnFfWvkGjP0hoMvgmUfA/s640/blogger-image--113269468.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJNltYuzX2jJTndT4gA_330cJ7FAPKsvU-gwl1F2NQlNxxlfALT1BG9xNihK0ZKbQMnS7SaF3oNHsz-gAAt8pLpdaI6oHRy0sKlxGEsZS_TgsT-Pjq4CKuA_ktnFfWvkGjP0hoMvgmUfA/s640/blogger-image--113269468.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid4OPhD5esxwH4TUZYpTUdjvaPUu6eLyv6S1BWTTM-Gzp-_PTHSEg2s597g_u1FqyCPKVpmATcd5jViz6g-4_FJaVn2NtxntqJ1vsvwFF60LVfALUzdQfHArL4spy67plY9hV3DXGMOj8/s640/blogger-image-1766662153.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid4OPhD5esxwH4TUZYpTUdjvaPUu6eLyv6S1BWTTM-Gzp-_PTHSEg2s597g_u1FqyCPKVpmATcd5jViz6g-4_FJaVn2NtxntqJ1vsvwFF60LVfALUzdQfHArL4spy67plY9hV3DXGMOj8/s640/blogger-image-1766662153.jpg" /></a></div>csdesignerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06549644811264709274noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3245012031779284666.post-1657463984815570182012-05-02T16:35:00.002-07:002012-12-27T20:30:32.136-08:00DIY snow candles - ready to publish<div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I saw these great vases in a online DIY that had <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Epsom</span> salt in them to mimic snow. You may already know our son Xavier has ADHD. In an effort to keep it under control I have cut refined sugar (among other things) from our diet. Instant oatmeal packets have a lot of added refined sugar (and other gobbly gook) so I decided to make our own. I looked at several sites and ended up making my own recipes (I don't usually do this)! Here is what I came up with. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here are the basics that you will need: </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
Oatmeal (I used quick cooking oats for my kids)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Oat flower OR you can blend 1/2Cup of oats in a food processor or blender</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Fat free dried milk</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the Blueberry, Banana, & Strawberry packets I purchased freeze dried fruit at Trader Joe's</div>
If making Raisins packets you will need Raisins, cinnamon, & brown sugar. If you want to be creative you can add other ingredients like flax seeds, bulgur, or whatever! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwHrXKcadN90SXc3vYFpyJ_3cffoKtgB-bMiFdtr7yysXbnbNZmQDLk227tZIVi402gyO4UPW-V6Gh65IueDmKygmOC4Mcdc-hSS2SQQblVN0r8hHNpkRzNsgQcdoeR1kJZ5UemgSKZUw/s1600/IMG_1871%5B1%5D" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwHrXKcadN90SXc3vYFpyJ_3cffoKtgB-bMiFdtr7yysXbnbNZmQDLk227tZIVi402gyO4UPW-V6Gh65IueDmKygmOC4Mcdc-hSS2SQQblVN0r8hHNpkRzNsgQcdoeR1kJZ5UemgSKZUw/s320/IMG_1871%5B1%5D" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Don't ask why baking powder is in this picture (it was late)!</div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I decided to make my own oatmeal packets from paper bags. I will create a tutorial for this in case you want to make your own. You could just use plastic baggies but those I can't throw into my compost bin!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
DIY oatmeal packet recipe ingredients are per oatmeal packet</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1/4C Oats</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2 TBSP Oat flower</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2 TBSP of preferred fruit</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1 TBSP powdered milk ( I didn't use this for the raisins packet)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2 TSP brown sugar (raisin packet only)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Even though I made 4 different flavors I set mine up assembly line style. </div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After they were fully assembled I colored them with crayons. I let the boys help me decide what we were going to name them. </div>

This is so easy to make! This is enough for my husband and I and our two kids with some leftovers.<br />
<br />
You will need:<br />
One package of chicken breasts or chicken tenders.<br />
One bottle of Spaghetti sauce<br />
Pasta<br />
<span style="text-align: center;">Mozzarella Cheese (you don't need all that is shown just about 5 slices)</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWh3biPn9x0ERdmByz4ksa458U6G6dta4ajivmR2ocFCCrysl-KYjmf0NTHn9J3KcZ1DLWZ8468gHiyjmtYnbNivM-JTPdEd0ZHLo6hXNveFcjT9RwvMD0g519a0H4HsRiygSca6xqz-I/s1600/IMG_2115%5B1%5D" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWh3biPn9x0ERdmByz4ksa458U6G6dta4ajivmR2ocFCCrysl-KYjmf0NTHn9J3KcZ1DLWZ8468gHiyjmtYnbNivM-JTPdEd0ZHLo6hXNveFcjT9RwvMD0g519a0H4HsRiygSca6xqz-I/s320/IMG_2115%5B1%5D" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
1. Add your chicken to the crock-pot<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyKbC3rEWp6j7rECsabk7t_HMfdFYD90Hfmi4Kls0jWLhTwqJYNiaBeB9M9b64-WsqUn3WQcyegbw2xX2ISwb-l-qn0fA1E_xmbbkMjfCL9y0rk6ayytzKDV9c5gG6Q2XuoOFPECzueY0/s1600/IMG_2116%5B1%5D" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyKbC3rEWp6j7rECsabk7t_HMfdFYD90Hfmi4Kls0jWLhTwqJYNiaBeB9M9b64-WsqUn3WQcyegbw2xX2ISwb-l-qn0fA1E_xmbbkMjfCL9y0rk6ayytzKDV9c5gG6Q2XuoOFPECzueY0/s320/IMG_2116%5B1%5D" width="320" /></a></div>
2. Pour in the pasta sauce<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjypCmVhWYDf3l8QqSapdSGRdBlAcBp6iRaKZpjyq1Hqn1PwVAAoMGbWMI55IDA4zgLQu_-gGVl1LsM2LbbicynxwetUrE3yyLEE4T8jtxRukXt5Dw3-7GEjgAhfNVYdd5Vd_xrR1DdBQ0/s1600/IMG_2119%5B1%5D" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjypCmVhWYDf3l8QqSapdSGRdBlAcBp6iRaKZpjyq1Hqn1PwVAAoMGbWMI55IDA4zgLQu_-gGVl1LsM2LbbicynxwetUrE3yyLEE4T8jtxRukXt5Dw3-7GEjgAhfNVYdd5Vd_xrR1DdBQ0/s320/IMG_2119%5B1%5D" width="320" /></a></div>
3. Turn it on and let it cook for 8 hours (mine always cooks longer since I have to pick up my kids from school after work).<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7s1bHnnOnuXvJmOGsJtk1phe1TrzgVR7i6mAUVzYdO9NEXr-zTDVu6HXBPZToAMkOd4yv92Mv6qtwB77cvlSJM4LbNqcDwEatnOcStKWX8mt58II8CXNRNft96dVrWdxH1JlPbk17rTA/s1600/IMG_2121%5B1%5D" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7s1bHnnOnuXvJmOGsJtk1phe1TrzgVR7i6mAUVzYdO9NEXr-zTDVu6HXBPZToAMkOd4yv92Mv6qtwB77cvlSJM4LbNqcDwEatnOcStKWX8mt58II8CXNRNft96dVrWdxH1JlPbk17rTA/s320/IMG_2121%5B1%5D" width="320" /></a></div>
4. When you get home add slices of your mozzarella and let it melt. While your cheese is melting whip up some pasta.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiV_7J4uRW7WTtXLbjZWdhTmnr0SjAntyialbAFp_3zCFeZoIFnzy2tj0XMRUEq5uAyI2WDmxUOThTQZPdw9gx3etwm5svW-3uqj61vT3K1Qt38ztrEsCDi1YLOKZh5EcYS8RL_eetu2nM/s1600/IMG_2172%5B1%5D" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiV_7J4uRW7WTtXLbjZWdhTmnr0SjAntyialbAFp_3zCFeZoIFnzy2tj0XMRUEq5uAyI2WDmxUOThTQZPdw9gx3etwm5svW-3uqj61vT3K1Qt38ztrEsCDi1YLOKZh5EcYS8RL_eetu2nM/s320/IMG_2172%5B1%5D" width="320" /></a></div>

To my surprise everything started sprouting on Sunday and look how well it is doing!</div><p align="center"><a style="margin-right: 1em; margin-left: 1em;" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfSKprGo_gINdcpxwxqT1sVBuD6sNIsVUO9yNayugEnsyInEn-vgys8TzHwOgSHPV0JXSrTTCNt2Vxrlqk9PqwGvBf2So-NUYN-DFVJRDtfzlQ4PEzmn7i5O5zOafhYUp4cwohN3EXg6w/s640/blogger-image--940932299.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfSKprGo_gINdcpxwxqT1sVBuD6sNIsVUO9yNayugEnsyInEn-vgys8TzHwOgSHPV0JXSrTTCNt2Vxrlqk9PqwGvBf2So-NUYN-DFVJRDtfzlQ4PEzmn7i5O5zOafhYUp4cwohN3EXg6w/s640/blogger-image--940932299.jpg" width="472" height="320" /></a></p><p align="left">All I used was some miracle grow organic outdoor mix, water, and my favorite heirloom seeds from Bakers Creek. You can find their website <a href="http://rareseeds.com/">here</a>.</p><p align="left">Last year my very good friend Erin gave me this hand me down starter box. After the gardening season the winds got a hold of it and half of the inside was broken (as you can see below). I went to find a new one and discovered you can't just by the inside parts. I didn't want to waste money since the one I have works fine! So I tried to find the dehydrated starter pods that you water and rehydrate but I had no luck finding them. </p><div>Then Friday evening I was looking through a catalog and found this wood device that you can make your own newspaper pots with. I thought what a great idea! But I didn't have thirty dollars to spend and they would have been a larger medium size pot. So I played around with my newspaper and figured out how to make my own starter sized newspaper pods! I will have to post the tutorial to make them. It is so easy and even better they are FREE!!!</div><div style="text-align: center; clear: both;" class="separator"><a style="margin-right: 1em; margin-left: 1em;" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfSKprGo_gINdcpxwxqT1sVBuD6sNIsVUO9yNayugEnsyInEn-vgys8TzHwOgSHPV0JXSrTTCNt2Vxrlqk9PqwGvBf2So-NUYN-DFVJRDtfzlQ4PEzmn7i5O5zOafhYUp4cwohN3EXg6w/s640/blogger-image--940932299.jpg" imageanchor="1"></a> </div><div style="text-align: center; clear: both;" class="separator"><a style="margin-right: 1em; margin-left: 1em;" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieVqFzQMpsCXUphJhhuO41GmG_MouZLkWpA8oXgnVCbIE3xfCRkjM812WJ9pWmLOeMcj7uChfAN-xuvDye2rxsJ_HsbI2mOr26ZzgzviNo5bkCFmpLPECsueEPoqLmz_uNvNUS0Gjl_Ys/s640/blogger-image--1678050445.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img style="width: 425px; height: 275px;" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieVqFzQMpsCXUphJhhuO41GmG_MouZLkWpA8oXgnVCbIE3xfCRkjM812WJ9pWmLOeMcj7uChfAN-xuvDye2rxsJ_HsbI2mOr26ZzgzviNo5bkCFmpLPECsueEPoqLmz_uNvNUS0Gjl_Ys/s640/blogger-image--1678050445.jpg" width="618" height="480" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center; clear: both;" class="separator"><a style="margin-right: 1em; margin-left: 1em;" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjLPHKslbPLGMVyBzqQeM-z-ijUCD-r6FWscmHE4_1MZ5E13zgPDuVBDMX0z102kkocTuuR-fMQmL-MAQ-Rnnxm-5dI6EIBqQh0MN3RDesBWNfryFcJTsGBKNK9eBOnKZLgYVx-qT5WHA/s640/blogger-image--2048834542.jpg" imageanchor="1"></a></div><div style="text-align: center; clear: both;" class="separator"><a style="margin-right: 1em; margin-left: 1em;" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIXzJ93qXKwSClSN_4qZdjAe36D4KAqv2_tY5P2vcjY7_FlBoyWz41UqwW-SreuYlw7gz3Lvn9aD0jAB_7qocHx3qss55WnSJWuJaLvkvgX0b1CVGrKF_r5EwveXI6okFtkwgfKEl9iYU/s640/blogger-image--1202381580.jpg" imageanchor="1"></a></div></div></div>csdesignerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06549644811264709274noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3245012031779284666.post-89227212984521450482012-03-15T07:19:00.000-07:002012-03-15T07:19:00.472-07:00DIY coffee cozy<div style="text-align: center; clear: both;" class="separator" align="left">While standing in line to get a cup of coffee at Starbucks I saw they had felt coffee cozies. I really can't believe it's already March. It's been so long since my last post you all probably thought the worst!<br /> <br />We have been incredibly busy and going though a lot as a family. I don't talk about our family a whole lot mainly because I figure not you probably don’t want to hear about it. But I have to say that I am so thankful for the people that have been there for us its meant a lot to me. <br /><br />After my last post I was lucky enough to find a new job. My workload is similar however I have a huge learning curve. Fortunately I have an awesome new manager has been training me from the ground up so I am very blessed. The job also provides me a lot more flexibility, but it has also been time consuming to bring myself up to speed. So everything else (except family) was put on the back burner. Can you imagine what my house looked like-eek! <br /><br />On top of getting a new job and everyday life we finally after some struggling we're able to have Xavier assessed. For as long as I can remember X has had the beat of a 'different drummer'. He is an awesome little boy and I completely adore him but he was struggling in school. So after begging and pleading with our pediatrician we were able to take him to a neuropsychologist. He assessed Xavier and found that he has a very high IQ but has a five second attention span and came to the conclusion that X has ADHD. This wasn't a big surprise for us since ADHD runs in the family. <br /><br />Our whole process since Xavier being diagnosed has been somewhat of a bumpy ride.<br />When friends asked about it I was greeted with all sorts of different reactions. But it seems that life is getting back to normal. Logan is getting the attention he needs and Xavier seems to be happier. So everything can get back on track.csdesignerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06549644811264709274noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3245012031779284666.post-33987146986230161732012-01-09T19:27:00.015-08:002023-01-31T23:24:18.160-08:00How to make your own laundry detergent<div>
<div><div><div>I don't know about you but every month I hear my husband complain about how much money we spend. So I am constantly in search for anything and everything that will make our lives 1-easier, 2-cheaper, and 3-more environmently friendly. I stumbled upon an article from another blog on home made laundry detergent. I know your thinking 'Is she nuts'! I probably am but I'm hear to tell you it's insanely cheaper, easy to make, and the best part is you can control what goes into it. Even better- IT WORKS! So below are two varitations of the laundry detergent wet and dry. Because lets face it some perfer wet detergent and others don't. ;)</div><div> </div><p align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaWP-QTlI_vjDLhb0bGiEX6KCi0pjLVfSHbn-9r6Y75cqe1zJ_x7HwZbYyMFfLOEzwjFhsxpamoMj_zFeA3er3pza9r2TKkyo7ahMTmPgg7sT4qOlYYp1Lx8koC56ZfYO5SbyJxfVsQAc/s1600/421837_10150571527441880_561451879_8944300_1249598599_a.jpg"><img style="width: 201px; height: 185px; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5732876854865789634" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaWP-QTlI_vjDLhb0bGiEX6KCi0pjLVfSHbn-9r6Y75cqe1zJ_x7HwZbYyMFfLOEzwjFhsxpamoMj_zFeA3er3pza9r2TKkyo7ahMTmPgg7sT4qOlYYp1Lx8koC56ZfYO5SbyJxfVsQAc/s320/421837_10150571527441880_561451879_8944300_1249598599_a.jpg" /></a></p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaWP-QTlI_vjDLhb0bGiEX6KCi0pjLVfSHbn-9r6Y75cqe1zJ_x7HwZbYyMFfLOEzwjFhsxpamoMj_zFeA3er3pza9r2TKkyo7ahMTmPgg7sT4qOlYYp1Lx8koC56ZfYO5SbyJxfVsQAc/s1600/421837_10150571527441880_561451879_8944300_1249598599_a.jpg"><div align="left"> </div></a><p></p><div>Dry taken from <a href="http://www.diynatural.com/homemade-laundry-detergent-soap/">DIY Natural </a></div><div>1 Bar- any soap you want </div><div>1 C- Borax</div><div>1 C-Arm & Hammer Washing Soda</div><div>- a hand grater</div><div>- a yougart container or other container of your choice to store it all in</div><div> </div><div>1. I made these chicken tenders for our get together. Since it was for <font id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">Christmas</font> I attempted to make them in the shape of Reindeer heads. They looked pretty good considering I made them. </div><div> </div><div>There are so many recipes floating around out there for chicken tenders. When I <font id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">decided</font> to make this for the kids I wasn't sure what to follow. This is what I did (I didn't follow a recipe) and it turned out great and the kids loved it. I didn't get a photo! I could kick myself! But the kids loved it and my husband (who isn't really a food person) gobbled up all the rest! This recipe fed 5 children and my husband. </div><div> </div><div>--6 chicken breasts- I use Foster Farms</div><div>--Bread Crumbs with Italian seasoning </div><div>-- olive oil - enough to coat the bottom of the pan</div><div>-- 2 eggs</div><div> </div><div> First crack open your two eggs and beat them in a bowl. Place your bread crumbs in another bowl. </div><div> </div><div>I took the chicken breasts and rolled them out and sort of beat them with a rolling pin. Then I cut them out with my reindeer shaped metal cookie cutter. Dip them in the egg mixture, then cover with bread crumbs. </div><div> </div><div>Place oil in the pan and heat over medium high. Place the chicken nuggets in the oil in batches. </div><div> </div><div>I let ours cool for a little so the kids didn't burn their little mouths. </div><div> </div><div>Enjoy!!!!</div></div></div></div></div>csdesignerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06549644811264709274noreply@blogger.com0
